Mizzou football should have at least five players land with NFL teams in or after the 2021 NFL Draft.

After an impressive season under first-year head coach Eliah Drinkwitz, the Missouri Tigers will send their next group of alum to the NFL Draft. There are five Tigers who should be able to stick with an NFL team in this year’s draft or, at the very least, get scooped up as an undrafted free agent when the draft officially concludes.

Let’s take a look at these five Tigers and when they might hear their name called.

Mizzou Football Players in the 2021 NFL Draft – Nick Bolton, LB

The biggest name from Mizzou entering this year’s draft is linebacker Nick Bolton, who very well could get drafted in the first round, more likely toward the back end of round one.

Bolton, originally from Frisco, Texas, is forgoing his senior season to enter the draft and that’s absolutely the right decision. He’s coming off a monster season that saw him total 95 tackles and two sacks while defending five passes and forcing a fumble.

In 2019, Bolton had a total of 103 tackles and has proven himself to be quite the tackling machine. Because of this, perhaps the local Kansas City Chiefs will spend their first-round selection on Bolton and keep him close to Columbia.

No one will be shocked to see Bolton get drafted in the first round, but due to the run on quarterbacks and the other offensive skillset positions that happens every year, it also wouldn’t be surprising to see Bolton slide to the beginning of the second round.
