Kansas City Royals Bold Predictions

The Royals will compete but fall short of a playoff spot

Current Vegas Insider over/under for Royals wins sits at 73.5 wins. This looks like a clear bet on the over. There is no reason to believe the Royals can’t come close or even hit the .500 mark to finish the season.

With that said, the Royals will come up just short of securing a Wild Card berth. When looking across the AL, it’s going to be hard for the Royals to have more wins than the White Sox, Yankees, Rays, Angels, and most likely A’s.

Even though they fall short, look for them to have meaningful baseball all the way to the last week of the season.

Kansas City Royals Bold Predictions

Bally Sports will finally air Royals games on streaming services.

This might just be the boldest prediction ever. Royals fans have voiced their opinion about how hard it is to watch Royals games in both the past and currently.

On Wednesday, it became official that Fox Sports Kansas City has been rebranded as Bally Sports Kansas City. Currently, there hasn’t been any sort of deal to have the games broadcast on streaming first platforms like Sling or YouTube TV.

Don’t worry, “cord cutters”, there is no reason for this dispute to continue. There is also no reason that the parent company for Bally Sports KC, Sinclair, to continue to hold out until 2022. There is too much money being lost to continue this through the season and into 2022.

Yes, this writer is making the bold prediction that this nonsense will end and everyone will have access to Royals games no matter how you pay for TV services. The keyword is “pay”. Anticipate there to be an increase in the streaming services though in the KC market area.
