KC Chiefs: Five prospects to consider trading up for in 2021 NFL Draft

Draft Prospects KC Chiefs Could Trade Up For
Caleb Farley, CB (Virginia Tech)
Perhaps no player has greater volatility to their draft stock than Virginia Tech corner Caleb Farley. After announcing his intent to opt-out of the 2020 season and enter the draft, many pundits had Farley pegged in the top 15, perhaps even the top 10 of the draft.
Not playing the season compounded with some injury issues (which is worrisome because he didn’t play this season) and Farley’s stock and landing spot is anyone’s guess.
Do the Chiefs have a ‘need’ at corner necessitating a move up?
Not really.
However, if the Chiefs are a team that has a high opinion of Farley, they could view him in the mid-’20s as a value they simply are unable to pass up. If the Chiefs view Farley as the top 10/top 15 prospect as some viewed before the season, the idea of getting that level of talent, regardless of position, is attractive.
I for one am not really sure what the Chiefs strategy at cornerback is, as there are several long-term questions at the position. Also, I value the cornerback position far more than the Chiefs have shown to value the position.
