Cornerbacks for KC Chiefs to Target – Patrick Peterson

There have been several occasions in recent years where Patrick Peterson was rumored to be on the trade block and every time, Chiefs fans lost their collective minds. “HE HAS TO COME HERE!” they’d shriek.

Well, shockingly enough, Peterson remained in Arizona with the team that drafted him. That is, until now where the Cardinals have announced they’ll be parting ways with Peterson, ending a decade-long partnership.

Peterson turns 31 in July and that could scare some people away, but he’s still a good player. He had 61 tackles and three interceptions in 2020. If durability is a concern to people, it shouldn’t be, as he started all 16 games for the Cardinals.

After 10 years in Arizona, Peterson should be ready to sign with a Super Bowl contender and the Chiefs could really use him. He could be an expensive option, which could eliminate the Chiefs from his services, but if he’s willing to take a paycut, this would be a good match.

The Kansas City Chiefs need cornerback depth this offseason and any of these guys would do wonders in helping this young secondary.
