KC Chiefs Mock Draft 2.0

Round 5: Pick 176 – Jack Anderson, OG (Texas Tech)

Red Raiders . Jack Anderson. 176. player. 874. . Offensive Guard

Jack Anderson will probably slip down draft boards due to an injury that sidelined him for all but three games last year. When healthy, Anderson is a terrific right guard and had started 28 consecutive games at said position prior to his injury.

The Chiefs are getting Laurent Duvernay-Tardif back in 2021 and he’s been their right guard since the team put him in a starting role. LDT is under contract for two more years, but KC could decide to move on from him after this year if he’s not the same player he was in 2019.

Anderson is someone who could serve as more of a backup piece for his rookie year and maybe even year two and then when LDT’s contract is officially up, could be the right guard option. The Chiefs could also look to move him around the line a bit, but right guard would be the best fit for the Texas Tech product.
