KC Chiefs Mock Draft 2.0

Round 2: Pick 63 – Baron Browning, LB (Ohio State)

Linebacker. Buckeyes . Baron Browning. 63. player. 812.

The offensive line is in major need of an improvement, but so is the linebacker position, which has been a train wreck since Derrick Johnson was let go following the 2017 season. The Chiefs have tried to add talent at linebacker, ranging from Anthony Hitchens in free agency to Willie Gay in the draft, but so far it hasn’t been noticeable.

That’s why Brett Veach needs to continue to draft linebackers and hope they can turn this position from a weakness to a strength. Baron Browning could do just that.

Browning spent all four years of his collegiate career at Ohio State and was a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball. He finished his senior season with 29 tackles (three for loss), two defended passes, two forced (and recovered) fumbles, and one sack.

Browning can do it all defensively and is someone that if the Chiefs could land in the second round of the draft, they’d be elated to hand the card in with his name on it.
