Linebackers for KC Chiefs to Target – Jeremiah Attaochu

This one probably is more of a pipe dream, as Jeremiah Attaochu had a really good 2020 with the Broncos and he’ll probably in line for more money than what the Chiefs can afford to offer. Attaochu had five sacks this past season (the same number as a much more expensive Frank Clark) while also recording nine hits on the quarterback.

Attaochu is just 28 years old and is a former second-round pick. He’s been with three different teams but the production is certainly there from the former Georgia Tech linebacker. If he’s affordable, he’d be a great addition to the Chiefs’ linebacker corps.

Another second-round pick, Tyus Bowser is someone the Chiefs could realistically afford to sign this offseason. He had two sacks in 2020 and hauled in three interceptions in his fourth year with the Ravens.

The reason why Bowser is going to be a more affordable option is that he’s only made two starts through the past two years. He wasn’t quite what Baltimore was expecting when they spent a second-round pick on him, but he’d definitely be an upgrade for the Chiefs at the linebacker position.

Bowser is a good pass rusher and would bring a skill-set to the linebackers that this unit hasn’t seen since Derrick Johnson was released.
