Kansas City Chiefs Free Agent Targets – Taylor Moton, OT

Perhaps no player on this list is a bigger ticket item than the young Panthers right tackle. Taylor Moton has started every game for the past three seasons at right tackle for Carolina and has only played four seasons and turns 27 in August. Depending on how the Chiefs address their line before the start of free agency, Moton could make a lot of sense for the Chiefs to target in free agency.

I am assuming Mitchell Schwartz will not return next season, and while free agency doesn’t fix everything, with Andrew Wylie likely returning (a restricted free agent this year, so it’s probable he returns) along with the return of opt-outs Laurent Duvarney-Tardiff and Lucas Niang, the Chiefs, while in need of depth, are in a far better spot.

Moton is not a star by any means and because it’s free agency, likely means he is going to be overpaid, however, he projects to be the type of player you don’t mind giving money to, young and reliable, capable of providing a reliable presence at right tackle, just as Schwartz has provided for that past five seasons.
