Wide Receivers for KC Chiefs to Target in Free Agency: Breshad Perriman

A once first-round pick in 2015, Breshad Perriman hasn’t been the kind of receiver that many expected him to be. He’s entering his sixth year in the league and will be on his fifth different team, so that is definitely something to keep in mind with him.

Perriman has looked better in recent years and is coming off a season in which he hauled in 30 receptions for 505 yards and three touchdowns with the Jets, of all teams. Putting up even those kinds of numbers in New York shows that Perriman can be a playmaker and if he can do that with Sam Darnold throwing to him, he should really be able to impress with Mahomes as his quarterback.

Wide Receivers for KC Chiefs to Target in Free Agency: Kendrick Bourne

Kendrick Bourne will be just 26 years old when the 2021 season kicks off and despite not being a huge name, he very much could be. The playmaker out of Eastern Washington has spent his entire career with the 49ers and has done well for them.

This past season saw Bourne grab 49 receptions for 667 yards and two touchdowns through 15 games. He only started five games, indicating that he’s more of a depth piece at receiver, but the Chiefs could use him in a bigger role if this was someone they did decide to bring in.

2020 was Bourne’s best season yardage wise, but he had a career-high of five touchdowns last season when the 49ers went to the Super Bowl. He’s someone that might not be well-known but could be really dangerous in Kansas City catching passes from Patrick Mahomes.
