Would Patrick Mahomes be a Hall of Famer if he retired after this season?
In Conclusion…
With his on the field and off the field record, Patrick Mahomes has made a case to become a Hall of Famer.
Mahomes has changed an entire franchise for years to come. Ending the 50 year Super Bowl drought and consistently putting up MVP numbers have brought Chiefs fans a gift from heaven over the past three years. Off the field, he has spread positivity and hope throughout his community.
Mahomes has made a major splash that has rippled across the entire league. With his name in the record books, he will be remembered for quite some time. He has struck fear into the other teams even to the point of making them attempt to copy the Chiefs’ offense. Games against Mahomes are always circled on the opponents’ calendars and such an impact was made that NFL announcers talk about him in games he isn’t playing in.
In comparison to other quarterbacks, Mahomes does have a resumé to put him into the Hall of Fame conversation. He may not compare to the likes of Manning but we will have that conversation again in 10 years. As it stands now, Mahomes is closer to the likes of Warner and Rodgers, who certainly have wonderful resumés. This is where I really made my decision.
