Teams that KC Chiefs fans don’t want to land Deshaun Watson – No. 2: Patriots

Of course, whenever there’s a quarterback available to either sign or trade, the New England Patriots are always going to be discussed. The Patriots had six-time Super Bowl champion (hopefully not seven) Tom Brady for 20 years and the two agreed to part ways this past offseason. It didn’t go well for the Patriots, let’s just put it that way.

New England tried out Cam Newton at the quarterback spot and he wasn’t good. Clearly, they don’t have much faith in Jarrett Stidham, as they continued to let Newton play, so yes, the Patriots are in desperate need of a quarterback this offseason and Watson would be a dream come true for that franchise.

Josh McDaniels would love having a mobile quarterback at his disposal and would be able to cook up all sorts of fun plays with Watson taking the snaps. We’ve seen how good the Patriots are when they have a reliable quarterback and that’s why it’d really suck to see Watson land in New England with the hated Patriots.

The problem with the Patriots’ offense, however, is that they don’t have weapons and that’s what drove Brady out and into the comforting arms of the Buccaneers. If Watson were to go to Foxborough, he’d have to get used to having nobody to throw to, and in that case, why not just stay in Houston?
