KC Chiefs Star Performances – No. 4: Patrick Mahomes

The top four spots really could go any possible way and Patrick Mahomes being ranked No. 4 is proof enough of that. Mahomes exited last week’s divisional game after taking a hard hit from the Browns and didn’t re-enter the game. He was cleared to play in the AFC title game and left everyone wondering “What injury?”

Mahomes finished with just nine incompletions while tossing for 325 yards and three touchdowns. It’s almost absurd to have him ranked fourth, but that’s how terrific the other three on this list were. Plus, quarterbacks always get the top spot, so I thought it might be a nice change of pace to mix it up for once.

KC Chiefs Star Performances – No. 3: L’Jarius Sneed

really wanted to put L’Jarius Sneed at No. 1, but after looking at the stats for the other two players, I just couldn’t. That doesn’t mean that Sneed wasn’t phenomenal though and boy has he been the rookie of the year for this team or what?

Sneed had a sack in this game along with five tackles. With his sack in the AFC title game, Sneed has now recorded one sack in four straight games, which is crazy, especially considering he’s a cornerback. That’s not typically a common stat for corners.

Sneed was injured during the game with what appeared to be a concussion. We’ll see him go through the concussion protocol, much like we did with Mahomes this past week, and hopefully, he’ll be cleared to play in Super Bowl LV because the Chiefs defense needs this guy in the secondary.
