Who should KC Chiefs fans be keeping an eye on this Sunday when the Bills come to town for the AFC Championship Game?

Arrowhead Stadium will host its final game of the 2020 NFL season when the Buffalo Bills come to town to square off with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. The winner of the game represents the AFC in the Super Bowl while the loser begins their offseason.

This going to be a really fun matchup because first and foremost, it’ll be like the 1990s all over again. The Bills went to four straight Super Bowls in the 1990s and lost all four of them. The Chiefs were competitive in the 90s but never made it to the big game. In fact, these two franchises met up in the AFC Championship Game in the 1993 season with the Bills winning and advancing to one of their four Super Bowls that decade.

Another reason this matchup is intriguing is because of the quarterback matchup. Thankfully, Patrick Mahomes is able to start because Mahomes vs Josh Allen on Sunday is the best possible scenario. Mahomes was a top 10 draft pick in 2017 while Allen was a top 10 pick in 2018, so both guys are looked at as the saviors of their franchises.

The difference is that Mahomes has gotten his team and his city a Super Bowl title. Allen looks the part of a legitimate quarterback, but he doesn’t have the accolades yet. Is Sunday the beginning of his journey to accomplishing that feat?

Let’s check out some players to watch when the KC Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills.

L’Jarius Sneed

A strong candidate for the steal of the 2020 NFL Draft, L’Jarius Sneed has been sensational during his rookie season. He did a nice job against Jarvis Landry last weekend and now the task will be even tougher, as he’ll be assigned to slowing down Stefon Diggs, who has had a monster inaugural season in Buffalo.

Diggs had 106 yards and a touchdown off of eight catches against the Ravens and proved to be Allen’s best weapon all evening long. It won’t be easy to limit Diggs but Sneed has been clutch throughout the season and if he can indeed prevent Diggs from having a big day, the Chiefs should be able to win this game. No pressure or anything!
