These six KC Chiefs stood out and helped the team advance over the Browns in the divisional round.

It wasn’t easy, but the Kansas City Chiefs came out on top over the Browns and will host their third straight AFC Championship Game next weekend. The hope is that Patrick Mahomes is able to play when the Bills come to town, but that’s a storyline for another day.

Who were the six Chiefs that helped get KC the victory on Sunday?

KC Chiefs who played well vs Browns – No. 6: Chad Henne

Chad Henne‘s interception in the fourth quarter really made it feel like this game was over and that the season was going to come to an end. Fortunately, the defense tightened up and forced Cleveland to punt it back to KC and that’s where Henne earned his spot on this list.

With two minutes remaining in the game and the Chiefs sitting with a 3rd and 14, it wasn’t looking great. Henne took off running and fans were definitely freaking out in that moment, but Henne was able to scurry for 13 yards and get the Chiefs a 4th and 1. The Browns had no timeouts so when the Chiefs converted, the clock was drained and KC won when the final whistle blew.

Henne’s 13-yard run along with that five-yard pass to Tyreek Hill was brilliant and while the interception wasn’t good, Chiefs fans should be proud of the efforts Henne displayed on Sunday afternoon.

KC Chiefs who played well vs Browns – No. 5: Tyrann Mathieu

Baker Mayfield threw one interception on Sunday and Tyrann Mathieu was the one who hauled it in. This happened during Cleveland’s first possession in the second half and it felt for sure like KC was going to build on the momentum and run away with this thing, but that obviously didn’t happen.

Still, the Honey Badger did his part and has been dominant in the past month and a half. He’s easily one of the best free-agent signings in Chiefs history.
