The KC Chiefs could face four teams in the divisional round. Let’s rank them.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the only team in the AFC with a first-round bye and that means when the dust settles this weekend, they’ll be the only well-rested team. The starters will have had two weeks off and will be ready to rock and roll when their divisional round opponent rolls into Arrowhead Stadium.

Because the Chiefs are the No. 1 seed, there’s no scenario where they’d host the Bills or the Steelers, so that leaves the Titans, Ravens, Browns, and Colts as who will be coming to Kansas City for next week’s divisional showdown. Let’s rank those four teams from worst to first.

4. Cleveland Browns

This was a special season for the Browns, who made it to the playoffs for the first time since 2002. Their run game played a big part in that and that’s the scariest part about the Chiefs potentially playing them. Otherwise, the Browns are very beatable.

Baker Mayfield has kept his mouth shut this season, which helped the Browns fly more under the radar, but he’s inconsistent. The Browns defense is also incredibly shaky and Patrick Mahomes would have no problems carving up that unit.

The Browns are a team who if they get behind by much, it’s hard for them to keep up, so that’d be the key to success here — Bury them early and never look back. I’m not disrespecting the Browns because I do think they’d be a tough adversary with how good their run game is, but when it comes down to it, they’re the weakest of the Chiefs’ potential divisional opponents.
