The KC Chiefs’ offensive coordinator may end up speaking with all six teams with openings.

Kansas City Chiefs‘ offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is a wanted man these days as he’s already interviewed with five teams looking for a new head coach before the 2021 NFL season. But not all of the current vacancies are equal. Some are quite clearly more attractive than others.

For this exercise, let us assume that we live in a world where the current half-dozen teams with head coaching vacancies offer Bieniemy the job.

Which one is the best? The worst? And where do the other four fall in comparison with each other?

For criteria, I’m looking at a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the team’s current roster; the team’s division and, to a lesser extent, conference; the team’s cap space situation going into 2021; the team’s draft capital; and the team’s front office/owner situation.

Before diving into the rankings, a refresher on the (current) organizations looking for a new head coach, listed here alphabetically by city:

  • Atlanta Falcons
  • Detroit Lions
  • Houston Texans
  • Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • New York Jets

Let’s start, of course, at the bottom of the list.
