Kansas City Chiefs. WILLIE GAY. A-. . LB

This grade hurts even more now when considering what happened to Willie Gay in Week 17. The promising linebacker was injured in a meaningless game against the Chargers and now he might not play another game this season.

Gay was really looking good in the final four games of the regular season and it was nice to see Steve Spagnuolo finally give him playing time. Gay had 14 tackles (one for loss) and one pass defended during those games. He had seven solo tackles in the three-point win over Atlanta, which really showed how good Gay could be.

Chiefs Kingdom hopes for a speedy recovery for Gay because he was really starting to come into his own and the defense could use his production in the playoffs.

L'JARIUS SNEED. A. . CB. Kansas City Chiefs

Call me generous for the grades I’ve given the other players on this report card, but L’Jarius Sneed absolutely deserves an A. Sneed has been sensational and looks to be the steal of the 2020 NFL Draft considering KC found him in the fourth round.

Sneed did not play in Week 17, so the stats here are through three games. He had 18 tackles (two for loss), three quarterback hits, two sacks, and one interception during that stretch and has proven to be a key part of this Chiefs secondary.

There’s a lot to be excited about with Sneed and hopefully, he’s that cornerback the Chiefs have been searching for.
