Happy New Year! The Kansas City Chiefs need to make these resolutions.

2020 is finally over (thankfully) and with that, the year 2021 is ready to show us what it’s got in store. The Kansas City Chiefs had an awesome 2020 and if they want 2021 to be as kind to them as last year was, then these are the resolutions they need to make.

Kansas City Chiefs 2021 New Year’s Resolutions – No. 5: Make the draft count

The 2020 rookie draft class looked good and that’s without us seeing Lucas Niang take a snap due to him opting out of the season. L’Jarius Sneed led the pack as a fourth-round pick while Mike Danna, a fifth-rounder, also showed he was a good fit for this team.

With all of that said, the Chiefs need to replicate that success when it comes to the 2021 NFL Draft. First and foremost, linebacker and cornerback are two of the biggest positions of need. Both have been struggling for quite some time and linebacker, in particular, has been banged up this year. The Chiefs also need to find another wide receiver and a backup tight end in this year’s draft while also shoring up the offensive line.

If the Chiefs have as much success with this year’s draft class as they did with last year’s, the team will be set up to win several more championships.
