Good things for Kansas City Chiefs in 2020 – Fifth straight AFC West title

It was getting old watching the Broncos win the AFC West every year from 2011-2015 but little did we know the next team to make a run at the division title would be our beloved Chiefs, who have now won five straight! It’s honestly just a footnote at this point, but make no mistake, winning the division is important so it’s good that the Chiefs are able to accomplish this goal with ease.

Good things for Kansas City Chiefs in 2020 – Best record in franchise history

The Chiefs had never won 14 regular-season games before, but they already did it in 2020 and did so with a week remaining in the season. With nothing on the line in Week 17, the Chiefs likely don’t get to 15 wins, but getting to 14 for the first time ever is a victory in itself.

This season’s schedule might not have been the most difficult, but the Chiefs did have some tough opponents and persevered. Their one loss came to a hungry Raiders team, who literally only wanted to beat Kansas City this year and exerted all of their energy into doing so. Otherwise, the Chiefs were perfect against everyone else.

Good things for Kansas City Chiefs in 2020 – Clinching No. 1 seed

We don’t know if the Chiefs will run back their Super Bowl title in February or not but it’s looking optimistic. Obviously, the team has its issues, just like all teams do, but the Chiefs are 14-1 heading into the final week of the season and clinched the No. 1 seed last week by beating Atlanta.

This year’s No. 1 seed was as important as ever, as whoever gets that spot is the only team to receive a first-round bye in the playoffs due to the extra playoff team. Kansas City did whatever it took to get that top spot and now they won’t have to travel again until Super Bowl LV. They have to get there first though.

Good things for Kansas City Chiefs in 2020 – Closing out the year with a win

The end of the 2020 season technically isn’t until Sunday, but the Chiefs finished 2020 off with a victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The year started with a win over the Texans in the Divisional Round and was capped off with a win over the Falcons to ensure this team had the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs.
