Resolution No. 2 for Kansas Basketball: Continue adapting to limited capacity at Allen Fieldhouse

One of the worst parts of this year’s adjusted season is the limited attendances the universities have put in place to help combat the spread of Covid-19. My sympathy goes out to fellow college students like myself, who long to return to our favorite college venues for sports.

Regardless, Kansas has a season to reclaim and this will come with a limited capacity of 2,500 fans at The Phog this year. So far, the Jayhawks are undefeated at home this season despite close calls with North Dakota State and Creighton.

The Jayhawks will have to make the best of the current situation and keep their eyes on the big picture. With a recent vaccine, the ideal situation would be that by next season it could be safe enough to allow for more fans to make their way back to Allen Fieldhouse.

When the Jayhawks have a full house at Allen Fieldhouse (which, let’s be real – they always do), they’re nearly unbeatable at home. Not having that atmosphere is unfortunate, but this is something KU has to adjust to, and while they’ve been doing well so far, hopefully, they continue to adapt to these weird times.
