KC Chiefs: What we learned about the AFC West after Week 16

What did we learn about the Denver Broncos?

The Broncos were hoping to forget about their embarrassing loss to Buffalo the week prior when they headed to Los Angeles for a date with the Chargers. While it wasn’t an embarrassing loss by any means, it was still an L for the Broncos, as they fell by a score of 19-16 to the Bolts.

Denver fell behind early, trailing 13-0 at halftime, but fought back and tied things up in the fourth quarter. It was another tough game for Drew Lock, however, as the former Mizzou man threw two interceptions in the loss. Lock did manage to hit different receivers with three of them having over 60 yards.

What we learned about the Broncos is that there is some hope with this team. They entered the season without their best wide receiver (Courtland Sutton) and without their best defensive player (Von Miller) and not having Sutton definitely has hurt Lock in what’s been a very difficult sophomore season. Getting those two guys back in 2021 might get the Broncos a few more wins than they’ve had this season.
