These six Kansas City Chiefs showed up big time against the Falcons.

The win wasn’t the prettiest, but the Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 17-14 and in doing so, clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs. These six players had a huge part in getting the Chiefs their 14th win of the season.

Star Performances from Kansas City Chiefs – No. 6: Darrel Williams

Not having Clyde Edwards-Helaire meant that Le’Veon Bell would be getting the majority of the reps at running back, but after he got lit up early on, the Chiefs turned to Darrel Williams and he did well. Williams finished the afternoon with 10 rushes for 46 yards while also grabbing four catches for 27 yards, giving him a total of 73 yards from scrimmage.

The biggest play from Williams was the run he had on 4th and 1 in the first half where he not only got the first down but some extra yards as well. The Chiefs leaned heavily on Williams in that spot and he delivered.

Star Performances from Kansas City Chiefs – No. 5: Darius Harris

Before this game, people probably had no idea who Darius Harris is. Honestly, people still might not know who Darius Harris is. They should though, as Harris stepped into Sunday’s game due to the injury to Ben Niemann and played quite well.

The biggest play Harris had in the game was when he recovered a Falcons fumble when Atlanta was getting close to scoring. The Chiefs didn’t end up doing anything with that possession, but the important thing is that Harris prevented the Falcons from putting up points and as we saw, that ended up being crucial in this tight game.
