What did we learn about the Kansas City Chiefs in their narrow win vs Atlanta?

Not every game is pretty, but it’s becoming a trend with the Kansas City Chiefs. This 17-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons might have been their ugliest win yet to be honest, as the offense didn’t play well at all. That’s where we’ll start on what we learned about the team this week.

What we learned in Kansas City Chiefs’ win vs Falcons – Offense won’t always carry the team

There are going to be times when a defense has to step up and help the team win a game. While the defense wasn’t perfect on Sunday, they held the Falcons to just 14 points, which normally is plenty for the Chiefs offense to work with.

This week was different though, as the Falcons defense was able to slow down KC’s offense, holding them to just 17 points, their lowest of the season. When you consider how bad Atlanta’s passing defense has been this year, the fact that the Chiefs couldn’t tear them apart is odd for sure.

I don’t think this performance is a cause for concern for the offense in general, as we know they’re going to make plays and put up points. We are starting to see defenses figure out better ways to limit Patrick Mahomes, however, and playoff teams are most definitely going to be checking this tape when they face KC in the playoffs.
