Kansas City Chiefs: Madden simulation for Week 16 vs Falcons
Does Madden think the Kansas City Chiefs will defeat the Atlanta Falcons?
There’s a lot riding on Week 16 for the 13-1 Kansas City Chiefs. If they beat the 4-10 Atlanta Falcons, the Chiefs will clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs and receive the only first-round bye on the AFC side of things. If they lose, there are still other ways they can clinch and can also still win in Week 17 and clinch, but it’d be better if they just got it out of the way now.
Before we dive into this week’s simulation, let’s check out what Madden predicted for Chiefs/Saints. Fortunately for Chiefs fans, Madden was incorrect in projecting a loss for the champs, as it had them losing 34-27 against the Saints. The video game thought that Patrick Mahomes was going to struggle again and had him throwing for three interceptions (he ended up throwing zero).
The game also predicted big games from both of the running backs, which sort of happened. Neither player went over the 100-yard rushing mark, but Alvin Kamara had over 90 yards from scrimmage while Clyde Edwards-Helaire had over 70 yards before he exited with an injury.
How does Madden predict the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against Atlanta will go?
Final Score – Chiefs 36, Falcons 30 (OT)

Okay, first of all, LOOK AT LE’VEON BELL’S NUMBERS. Holy crap. If he goes off for over 200 yards rushing, Chiefs fans would be elated. I definitely laughed when seeing his final stats from this game and the fact that he had the same amount of rushing yards as Patrick Mahomes had through the air.
Now, let’s get into the gameplay itself. The Chiefs need this win to clinch the No. 1 seed, but they don’t make it easy on the fans, allowing this game to be determined in overtime. Atlanta actually leads throughout the first half of the game and Kansas City then ties it up in the third quarter and pulls ahead. The Falcons aren’t done fighting though, as they battled back to force overtime.
Unfortunately for the birds, the Chiefs won the toss, went down the field, and scored a touchdown to win the game. Hopefully, this game is a lot easier of a battle than this for the Kansas City Chiefs and they don’t have to settle this in overtime.
What are your takeaways from this simulation, Chiefs fans?
