The KC Chiefs continue to win.

Obviously, the matchup to watch in the AFC West this week was the one pitting the Super Bowl champs against the Saints. This wasn’t just the marquee matchup in the division, but in the entire NFL and it lived up to that mantra.

AFC WEST STANDINGS

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (13-1)
  2. Las Vegas Raiders (7-7)
  3. Denver Broncos (5-9)
  4. Los Angeles Chargers (5-9)

Week 16 Games

  • Raiders vs Dolphins – Saturday (7:15 CST)
  • Chiefs vs Falcons – Sunday (12:00 CST)
  • Chargers vs Broncos – Sunday (3:05 CST)

The most intriguing game out of this bunch is Raiders/Dolphins, as there are strong playoff implications here. The Dolphins are currently a Wild Card team but have to win out to ensure it stays that way. Meanwhile, the Raiders have to win out and hope for some help in order to have any shot at competing in the playoffs.

Chiefs/Falcons should be closer than people are expecting, as Atlanta is a sneaky team for sure. Chargers/Broncos will be fun only because it’s a divisional game. There are no playoff implications riding on this matchup.

With the Raiders’ loss on Thursday, the Chiefs are the only team with a winning record in the AFC West. I really expected more from the division this season, but it’s been a disappointing showing from the other three AFC West squads.
