2. Travis Kelce

A serious case could be made for Travis Kelce to be No. 1 again this week, but I let someone else have the top spot because Kelce has gotten that honor more than our No. 1 entry. Kelce continued on his trek to Offensive Player of the Year (he’d be the first tight end to ever win it), grabbing eight passes for 136 yards and a touchdown.

As much as Chiefs Kingdom adores Kelce, I’m still not sure people have fully grasped how good he is. Not only have Chiefs fans gotten to watch Kelce in recent years, but the Chiefs also had Tony Gonzalez for over a decade. They’ve had two of the best tight ends EVER in their city. Crazy!

1. Chris Jones

No. 1 this week goes to Chris Jones, who after a few quiet games, revved up the engines and did some damage against the poor Fins. Jones had four tackles (one for loss), one sack, one quarterback hit, one pass defended, AND one safety.

That safety is ultimately why I put Jones at No. 1 because, at the end of the game, that ended up being a key play. Jones needed to have a big game and he came out swinging in this one. It was good to have him back to his normal form for sure.

That wraps up this week’s list of star performances. Some might have expected to see Mecole Hardman or Tyreek Hill on here, but I excluded Hardman because of his fumble that gave Miami momentum and I didn’t include Hill because after getting the crucial first down, he kept running and ended up out of bounds rather than just falling down.
