Does Madden think the Kansas City Chiefs will knock off the Miami Dolphins?

For the most part, Madden has done a good job predicting how the Kansas City Chiefs‘ games will go this season. The video game is currently 8-4 and looking to go 9-4 this weekend. Before we get into what it thinks is in store for Week 14, let’s check out how well Madden did with its simulation of Chiefs/Broncos.

Madden thought the Chiefs would win convincingly over the Broncos, leaving Arrowhead with a 28-10 victory. That wasn’t quite what happened, as the Broncos made a game of it. Madden thought Patrick Mahomes would throw for all four of the Chiefs’ touchdowns and that Clyde Edwards-Helaire would rush for 87 yards. Edwards-Helaire didn’t see the field, but that was my bad, as I put him in the lineup since he was trending toward playing.

So, what does Madden think will happen when the Chiefs take on the Dolphins? Let’s take a looky-loo.

Final Score: Chiefs 20, Dolphins 17

CHIEFS STATS

  • Patrick Mahomes – 20-of-28, 253 yards; 5 carries, 33 yards, TD
  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire -27 carries, 103 yards, TD; 4 rec, 45 yards
  • Le’Veon Bell – 5 carries, 34 yards
  • Tyreek Hill – 5 rec, 79 yards
  • Travis Kelce – 4 rec, 57 yards
  • Anthony Hitchens – 9 tackles
  • Derrick Nnadi – Sack
  • L’Jarius Sneed – INT

DOLPHINS STATS

  • Tua Tagovailoa – 18-of-24, 162 yards, 2 TD, INT
  • Matt Breida – 21 carries, 95 yards,
  • Mike Gesicki – 7 rec, 36 yards, TD
  • Jakeem Grant – 4 rec, 51 yards
  • DeVante Parker – 4 rec, 31 yards, TD
  • Jerome Baker – 13 tackles

Madden thinks this game will be quite close and actually thinks the Chiefs will win it in the final seconds despite the Dolphins leading for most of the second half. Surprisingly, Mahomes doesn’t throw a touchdown pass, finding the end zone once with his legs instead, but otherwise being kept in check.

Edwards-Helaire has a big game, however, rushing for over 100 yards for the third time in his rookie year. Chiefs fans would be thrilled if CEH put up these stats after missing last week and honestly being a bit of a disappointment to this point of the season.

This game should be competitive and with the Chiefs failing to put their opponents away recently, it isn’t hard to believe that Miami could hang in this thing. If the Chiefs are trailing in the final seconds, however, it’s hard to bet against them and Madden obviously agrees.

What do you think about this week’s sim, Chiefs fans? Will the game be as close as Madden predicts or will KC blow out the Fins?
