The Dolphins are 8-4 on the season with games versus the Chiefs and Patriots then at the Raiders and Bills. Do the Dolphins get into the playoffs?

Brian: “Miami has to win at least one of their next four but honestly they need to win 2. I think they can beat the Raiders and Patriots but they can also beat the Bills. I think this year they make it as one of 7 teams but the margin for loss is a thin line and they can’t afford to lose to teams they should beat.”

DeVante Parker broke out last season with over 1,200 receiving yards and is having another solid year. What makes this team’s top receiving threat?

Brian: “DeVante Parker found confidence in himself. He didn’t stop believing in his abilities. Last year was not a fluke but he plays better with Fitzpatrick as the QB. Fitz throws the ball up for him to get whereas Tua does better with separated routes and space. That being said, the two of them are still finding their rhythm and it will take a little time. Parker has a grounded ego and simply does his job. He loves the Dolphins and wants to be a better player for the team.”

Ex-Chief Emmanuel Ogbah leads Miami in sacks with 8, which is already his career-high. How’s the team unleashed him so well?

Brian: “Ogbah is a perfect fit in the Dolphins defensive scheme. He was really good with the Chiefs until his injury sidelined him last year and the Dolphins saw enough to sign him this off-season. He has been a great find for the Dolphins. Off the edge, he is working well with the defensive linemen to get pressure on the QB and is setting the edge perimeter as well. I would love to see him used far more on pass-rushing but the Dolphins disguise his blitzes and will often have him drop into coverage. That helps because the blocking schemes tend to be different because they don’t know when he will come or drop back.”
