Who stood out the most in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 22-16 victory over the Broncos?

Not all wins are going to be pretty and that was the case for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night when they squeaked out a 22-16 win over their divisional foe, the Denver Broncos. The win makes it 11 straight wins over Denver, which has to be beyond frustrating for that franchise.

Even though it wasn’t a pretty win, it still counts as a W in the record books and more importantly, the Broncos lost, which is always funny. Who helped pave the way to victory for the defending Super Bowl champs in this win? Let’s take a look.

4. Anthony Hitchens

No one was all that impressed with Anthony Hitchens in his first two seasons with the Chiefs, but he’s upped the ante this year. In this particular game, he recorded seven total tackles with four of those being solo tackles.

At one point, Hitchens came off the field after getting hit hard and fans were actually a bit worried. (mostly because none of us want to see Ben Niemann on the field for any longer than we have to). PFF Chiefs on Twitter evaluated how Hitchens has improved this year and the difference has been clear to all of us.

Not the date on this tweet, but still — Hitchens has been solid in 2020 and I felt like he deserved a spot on this week’s list of star performances, so here he is at No. 4.
