Don’t Expect Hill to Repeat

Tyreek Hill has had a monstrous year. As mentioned before, he is the No. 2 receiver in the league. He already has over 1,000 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns. Teams are struggling to take Hill out of the game. Expect Denver to double team Hill and keep an eye on Kelce, who has burned them frequently throughout his career (even before Mahomes got to KC).

Hill contributed in Week 7 but nothing like what he did in Tampa Bay. Hill had six receptions for 55 yards and a receiving touchdown when the Chiefs faced Denver back in Week 7, which isn’t bad at all, but don’t expect anything more than that after what he did last week. He won’t have as many chances with the balanced attack either, but you can never count out the Cheetah as he is one of the best receivers in the league, no doubt.

This serves as a chance for Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman, or Demarcus Robinson to step up and make a play. Watkins returned to action last week after not having played since Week 5 while Hardman and Robinson have mostly disappointed this season. Hardman dropped what would have been a walk-in 80+ yard touchdown last week, which was a huge blow.

It’d be great to see Hill put on an encore performance of what he did in Tampa Bay last week, but the Broncos should know better than to let him get as wide open as the Buccaneers did. Expect Hill to have a much less impressive stat line as Kansas City hosts the Broncos.
