Does Madden think the Kansas City Chiefs will make it 10 wins in a row against the Denver Broncos?

The Kansas City Chiefs have turned the tables on the Denver Broncos after losing seven straight games to them from 2012-2015 to now riding a nine-game win-streak against their divisional foes. Will the Chiefs be able to make it 10 in a row against Denver?

Before we dive into Madden’s simulation for Chiefs/Broncos, let’s take a look to see how its projections for Chiefs/Buccaneers panned out. The video game predicted that the Chiefs would win by four points and they ended up winning by three instead. It did accurately predict a big game for Patrick Mahomes but had Travis Kelce being the leader in receiving yards, which obviously isn’t how the game went.

With that out of the way, let’s check out what Madden thinks is in store for Week 13.

Final Score: Chiefs 28, Broncos 10

CHIEFS STATS

  • Patrick Mahomes – 23-of-30, 337 yards, 4 TD; 5 carries, 30 yards
  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire – 24 carries, 87 yards
  • Mecole Hardman – 4 rec, 106 yards, TD
  • Sammy Watkins – 8 rec, 94 yards, TD
  • Travis Kelce – 5 rec, 54 yards, 2 TD
  • Frank Clark – 2 sacks
  • Willie Gay – Sack
  • Alex Okafor – Sack

BRONCOS STATS

  • Drew Lock – 22-of-39, 219 yards, TD
  • Phillip Lindsay – 14 carries, 56 yards
  • Jerry Jeudy – 9 rec, 62 yards, TD
  • Noah Fant – 5 rec, 59 yards
  • Jurrell Casey – 10 tackles, 1.5 sacks
  • Bradley Chubb – Sack

The Chiefs score a touchdown in each of the first two quarters and have a 14-10 lead at halftime. This is obviously a much closer score than fans would want to see, but the good news is that the Chiefs defense tightens up in the second half and shuts Denver’s offense out in the second half.

Mahomes has another crazy good outing, which is nothing new at this point, especially to Broncos fans who are used to see Mahomes play out of his mind against them. Tyreek Hill isn’t the star of the show this week, as the Broncos clearly made it a point to remove him from the game. That’s okay though, as Hardman has his first 100+ yard game of the season. Kelce continues his dominance against Denver with two trips into the end zone.

While this game does end up being an 18-point victory for the Chiefs, they don’t explode onto the scene until the fourth quarter. Denver’s defense does a nice job keeping the Chiefs out of the end zone, only giving up two touchdowns in the first three quarters. Neither offense scores in the third quarter, but the fourth quarter is when the Chiefs put a bow on this one, making it 10 straight W’s against the Broncos.

The Kansas City Chiefs should be able to win this game, but I’m not sure that I think they’ll win by this large of a margin. Their defense hasn’t been playing well recently and while the Broncos’ offense isn’t good, they do seem capable of scoring at least a few touchdowns on this recently weak Chiefs defense.
