The KC Chiefs were victorious over the Buccaneers, as Tyreek Hill went crazy with three touchdowns. What did we learn about the champs?

What looked like a blowout in the making didn’t necessarily end up that way for the Kansas City Chiefs. The game only ended up as a three-point victory for KC, but it moved them to 10-1 on the year while dropping the Bucs to 7-5.

This was the fourth time that Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady faced off and the score is now even at 2-2. There’s a chance that these two don’t play again, as Brady is now in the NFC, so if the two aren’t in the Super Bowl, this was it for the Mahomes vs Brady rivalry we were all really starting to buy into.

Anyway, let’s take a look at what we learned about the Kansas City Chiefs in their 27-24 victory over the Bucs.

Tyreek Hill is a tincy, wincy bit good

Right, we all knew Tyreek Hill was very good at football but this good?! The speed demon ran rings around the Buccaneers as he came away with three touchdowns. Hill found the end zone twice by in the first quarter as they raced into a lead and Hill’s third touchdown came in the second half.

His sheer speed pulled the safeties all over the place and this benefited the Chiefs even when he wasn’t found on a big play downfield as dump-off passes to Travis Kelce and Demarcus Robinson kept the chains moving for the Chiefs.

Hill finished with 13 receptions and 269 yards, averaging 20.7 yards per reception as he helped carry the Chiefs to a 10-1 record accompanied by three classy touchdowns. Hill was a constant threat throughout and dragged Tampa all over the place. It was clear that the Bucs had no real answer when it came to trying to stop him altogether (though they were able to slow him down in the second half).

No one expected Hill to ever have a game of this magnitude. We knew he was a good receiver, but this was a career day for the former fifth-round pick.
