Other Starts and Sits this Week

Start: Kenyan Drake, Running Back, Arizona Cardinals

Kenyan Drake has been viewed as a disappointment this year in fantasy. That is only because of the expectations piled on him before fantasy drafts. Most people used a first round pick on him and have been disappointed. The truth is though that Drake has double digit points in five of his eight games played and is a reliable option in your running back spots.

Don’t Sit, But Be Wary: Tyler Lockett, WR, Arizona Cardinals

I can’t in good conscious tell anyone to sit Tyler Lockett here. Last time he saw Arizona’s defense, he scored over 50(!) fantasy points. That being said, I almost made Lockett my sit of the week. Most people are going to be all over Lockett because of that 50 points, but he has more games under nine points this season (four) than he does over 20 points (two).

Mix in the fact that Lockett is dealing with a mild knee sprain and his teammate DK Metcalf only had two catches last time these two teams played, and Lockett is set to disappoint fantasy managers. That being said, when a player scores 50, that is hard to leave on the bench. Just be mindful of Lockett this week, and try to temper your expectations.

Sit: Both Defenses

Just don’t play either defense. Seattle has been historically bad and is not on anyone’s radar, but the Cardinals have had a few decent games because of some sack totals. Just leave both of these defenses on the waiver wire and don’t try to get cute this week.
