Sit of the Week: Christian Kirk, WR, Arizona Cardinals

The last time Christian Kirk saw the Seattle Seahawks defense, he scored 20 fantasy points and ended as a great option for most lineups. He had two touchdowns in that game, and while that sounds great, it is my biggest reason to be wary of Kirk this week.

Kirk actually caught a little bit of fire in the middle of the season, going for three straight games of over 20 points. He cooled off a little last week to the tune of seven points against Miami, but mostly he has been a solid option for most rosters in their flex.

I don’t believe that trend continues this week. Last time Kirk faced the Seahawks, he only was able to muster 37 yards on five catches. Take the touchdowns away and that would be a very disappointing game.

Obviously, you can’t just take away actual production that Kirk had. He has only seen eight targets in two games this year, and if he doesn’t find the end zone, could start your fantasy week off in the wrong direction. You can find a lot of worse options, sure, but I would look elsewhere if you are trying to avoid higher risk in your flex positions.
