Start of the Week: Carlos Hyde, RB, Seattle Seahawks

I will say right off the bat that this is entirely dependent on the health of Chris Carson. As of this writing, Carson appears to be trending toward being out on the short week, and that means Carlos Hyde is in store for a big workload in a game that both teams are projected to be moving the ball.

Hyde has been dealing with an injury of his own as of late, but it looks like all systems are a go for the journeyman running back. That means lots of opportunity is coming his way. That bodes well for his fantasy outlook considering that the Cardinals are giving up close to an average of 18 points per game to opposing running backs.

That may not be close to the top in terms of best match-up, but they are susceptible enough on the ground to not be wary of. Combine that with the touchdown potential and Hyde could break 20 points this week.

Not only is the match-up solid, but there is also precedent here for Hyde to succeed. Hyde scored 16 points the last time these two teams faced off, which also happened to be there same game that Carson was injured. That was only with 17 total touches, a number Hyde could eclipse this week, given he is going in as the starter.

There is a chance Hyde is still available on your waiver wire as well, because he has not played in weeks due to his own injury. Scoop him if you have the chance and watch him go to work this week.
