KC Chiefs: What we learned about the AFC West after Week 10
What did we learn about the Las Vegas Raiders?
The only team in the division to win this week was the Raiders, who put on a clinic against the Broncos in a 37-12 butt whooping. Derek Carr didn’t need to have a big game, throwing for just 154 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, as the run game and defense stepped up for the black and silver.
Josh Jacobs totaled 112 rushing yards and two touchdowns while Devontae Booker took it to his old team, adding another 81 yards on the ground with two touchdowns as well. The Broncos had no answer when it came to stopping Vegas’ run, so of course the Raiders stuck with it.
The defense picked Drew Lock off four times and the offense made sure to capitalize every time they got into the red zone. It was an impressive performance by the Raiders and they’re now 6-3 on the season with a lot of games still left to be played.
What we learned about the Raiders is that they’re a playoff team. I know Chiefs fans might roll their eyes at that, but remember — The Raiders beat KC earlier this season. They’re not winning games with spectacular quarterback play, but their run game is top notch and their defense looks to be rounding the corner.
Next up: The Raiders will try to go for the sweep against Kansas City next weekend, hosting the defending Super Bowl champions on Sunday Night Football in their new stadium. It should be a good one!
