Sit of the Week : Ryan Tannehill, QB, Tennessee Titans

This one should be fairly obvious here. The Colts are the best in the league at defending the pass in fantasy, and they are poised to do so here against the Titans. This game has the makings of a Derrick Henry rumble fest, and those are the type of games that can hurt quarterback output from a fantasy perspective.

Obviously the Titans can move the ball from an offensive standpoint, or else I would not have recommended Corey Davis to be the start of the week. This game just seems like it will be bad for quarterback points. I anticipate the Titans moving the ball, getting in scoring position, and either settling for field goals or punching it in with Henry. The touchdown potential for Tannehill here isn’t great.

Tannehill’s stat line could read something like 275 yards and a touchdown on Thursday night. The Titans are probably going to score around 24 points. That isn’t a bad night offensively, it just is hard to envision a lot of the scoring is going to come on the arm of Tannehill.

Look to avoid him this week in a tough match-up. Go check on the waiver wire and see if Jared Goff is available. His last game was a dud, he just had a bye, and now gets to go against the worst passing defense statistically in NFL history in the Seahawks.
