What did we learn about the Denver Broncos?

The Broncos hosted their second straight AFC West match-up, this time welcoming in the Chargers. The two teams would battle for who last place would be in the division and it wasn’t the Broncos.

It didn’t seem like that’d be the case though, as the the Bolts led by 24-10 after the third quarter. Fans in Denver were booing Drew Lock and the Broncos offense because of how poorly they were playing. But, because the Chargers are the Chargers, Denver had a shot to turn things around and win the game, which they did.

Lock threw for 248 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception (a bad one at that) while getting sacked twice. Phillip Lindsay broke off a 55 yard touchdown run. The defense continued to be a bright spot for the Broncos in a season where their offense hasn’t always looked great.

What we learned about the Broncos is that they’re not out of it yet. They’re 3-4 after this win and the schedule eases up a bit, meaning a Wild Card berth isn’t out of the question just yet.

Next up: The Broncos head to Atlanta for a game against the 2-6 Falcons in the early window of games. If they win that one, they’re back to .500 and in a position to make some noise down the stretch.
