Kansas City Chiefs: Six star performances vs Jets in Week 8
The Kansas City Chiefs moved to 7-1 on the year and these six players played a big part in the 35-9 victory!
It wasn’t a huge surprise to see the Kansas City Chiefs completely dominate the New York Jets, who are looking to be well on their way to the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s draft. Even though the Chiefs won this game handily, the Jets did make it somewhat close in the first half, but settling for three field goals isn’t the strategy to take when facing the Chiefs, who can score in an instant.
With the blowout win over the Jets in the books, let’s take a look at six Chiefs players who helped the team secure their seventh win of the season.
6. Daniel Sorensen
One thing’s been made perfectly clear in recent years and that’s Daniel Sorensen has made his mark with this team. Yes, he’s struggled at times as a starter, but when it comes down to it, Sorensen is someone who is going to make a play and he did that once again on Sunday.
Late in the game, Chris Herndon had the ball and was trying to get some extra yardage, but Sorensen pried the ball out of his hands. Bashaud Breeland recovered the football, giving KC’s offense possession and putting a nail in the coffin of the Jets.
The game was out of hand by this point anyway, but Sorensen’s forced fumble gave the ball back to the offense and they added to their lead from there. Sorensen might not be a Pro Bowl caliber player, but one thing’s for sure – Dirty Dan makes plays.
