Kansas State Football: Four things to watch vs West Virginia
By Trey Donovan
3. Expect the Kansas State secondary to be polarizing in this game.
This may come as a surprise, but this Kansas State secondary will be both bad and good against West Virginia. The reason for this is because AJ Parker might not be able to play after he was injured against KU. This is a huge blow to a secondary that is pretty young and still learning how to compete at a higher level of play than they may be used to.
If Parker does not suit up for this game, the Wildcats will lose their defensive captain and best cover corner against a West Virginia team that averages 32.2 points per game along with 291.2 passing yards per game. This means that if Parker does not play, it’ll be up to players like Lance Robinson, Ekow Boye-Doe, and maybe Aamaris Brown to step in and get the job done.
4. Really close game with one or two plays that determine the victor.
This will be another challenge for the Kansas State Wildcats, as this will be another close game for them. All season, minus the KU game, K-State has played a close game every week and I do not expect that trend to stop this week.
Both of these defenses will struggle, as both offenses have a lot of weapons on that side of the ball, so this should be a high scoring affair and hopefully the Cats can keep up. This will be another close game for the Kansas State Wildcats in a season where they have only played close games, minus Ku.
This should be a fun game between the Kansas State Wildcats and West Virginia Mountaineers
