It’s Atlanta vs Carolina for Thursday Night Football this week. Who should you start and sit in fantasy football?

The fantasy football season is starting to get down to the nitty gritty, and the playoffs are just around the corner. With bye weeks starting to hit heavy this week, and injuries piling up across the league, your decisions this week can make or break your entire fantasy season. That is why the Thursday night game between the Panthers and Falcons is an important one, because many fantasy options are going to be taking the field for you squad.

This game features firepower all over the field. Every week starters like Julio Jones and Robby Anderson look to keep piling up points for your squad, and DJ Moore has started making some noise these last few weeks with back to back good fantasy games. We aren’t going to cover these players, however, because they should be locked and loaded in your lineup. The same can be said for Christian McCaffrey if he is indeed active for the first time in over a month, but his injury status is still up in the air as of this writing.

Before we get into the Starts and Sits of the week, I want to take this time to briefly remind you of the flex spot on your team and how Thursday Night Football can effect that differently than other games. So if you have a player that is playing on a Thursday, TAKE THEM OUT OF YOUR FLEX.

For example, say Mike Davis is your flex play this week, and your other running backs are Alvin Kamara and Aaron Jones. Obviously, those two are your starters, but go ahead and replace Davis with one of those players. The reason for this is if you keep Davis in your flex, and Kamara sustains an injury at practice late in the week and misses the game, your hands are tied.

If he was in your flex, you could replace him with a wide receiver or running back. If your flex is already used up from a Thursday night player, however, then you can only replace that player with a running back. So just make sure you are making these changes before kickoff. Now that we have covered that, let’s get into my Start of the Week.
