The KC Chiefs were one of two teams to win in the AFC West this past weekend.

There were three different games in the AFC West this weekend and fortunately the Kansas City Chiefs came out victorious in their match-up against the Denver Broncos. The Los Angeles Chargers notched their second win of the season (and first of Justin Herbert’s career) while the Las Vegas Raiders fell to the Bucs.

Let’s take a look at what we learned about all four AFC West teams this week.

What did we learn about the Las Vegas Raiders?

The last time we saw the Raiders in action, they were handing the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs their first loss of the season (and first loss overall since last November). Many thought maybe they’d take that victory and continue to be motivated, but that wasn’t the case on Sunday. This game was initially supposed to be on Sunday Night Football, but was bumped up to the late window.

The Raiders defense simply had no answers for the Buccaneers fiery offense, led by Tom Brady, who threw four touchdowns in the 45-20 blowout in Vegas’ new stadium. Brady even rushed for a touchdown against this Raiders defense.

The Raiders kept things somewhat competitive in the first three quarters, but allowed three fourth quarter touchdowns to Tampa Bay and that’s obviously never good. Derek Carr continued to put up his normal numbers and threw a pair of touchdowns to go along with an interception. He was sacked three times.

Honestly, what we learned the most about the Raiders in this one is that they’re not quite there yet. This is a team that could contend for a Wild Card spot, but they’re going to have to start getting out of their own way. They’re now 3-3 on the year.

Next up: The Raiders travel to Cleveland for a date with the Browns in the early window of games.
