Can they slow down the Buckeyes offense?

A big problem for the Cornhuskers last year was their lack of being able to slow down the explosive offenses in the conference. They allowed 30+ points in six of their losses and in seven total games. That’s obviously not good.

Ohio State has one of the best offenses in the league, led by Justin Fields at quarterback. Fields was a Heisman Trophy candidate last year and very well could be the No. 2 overall pick in next year’s draft. He’s a good player and he’s going to be incredibly tough to slow down, especially for a Huskers defense that hasn’t looked good in a long time.

I’ll be curious to see how Nebraska’s defense looks when they take the field on Saturday. Ohio State is going to score, but the Huskers have a chance to slow them down. They played them tough in 2018 and nearly won that game, but last year completely got destroyed.

Ohio State putting up points won’t be surprising, but if Nebraska is able to get stops against them, that would be a nice boost of confidence moving forward.
