Kansas State Football: Three things to watch vs KU in Sunflower Showdown

2. Will Howard should play a lot better

This goes hand-in-hand with the first thing to watch for, but Howard should have a better game than he did at TCU. Expect the same kind of game plan the Wildcats used against TCU, which would be to set up the running game and ease him into the game. This should work wonders against a lackluster KU defense.

Another part of the game plan should be to test KU’s secondary deep with some good shot plays and I would love to see Howard sling it downfield. He is known to have good arm strength after all. That would also mean the wide receivers need to show up for the Wildcats, which they have not done much this year.

The first couple of drives will be a feeling out process for Howard, as Kansas State will look to set up the run game, but the deeper into the game they go, Howard should be slinging the football around the field.  This should lead to a blowout and Kansas State adding a win to their total along with a complete offensive showing for the Wildcats.
