Kansas City Chiefs: Six star performances vs Bills in Week 6
2. Kelce
First of all, I just want to say how much I enjoyed the FOX graphic of Travis Kelce that popped up after both of his touchdowns. It made me smile. Secondly, Kelce was great in this game! Yes, he had the fumble at the end of the first half, but the Bills ended up missing the field goal attempt, so no harm done, right?
Kelce had two touchdowns and was second on the team as far as receiving yards went with 62 off of five catches. Whenever Mahomes needed a target, Kelce was there. The Bills weren’t able to cover him and left him wide open in the end zone for that second touchdown grab by the tight end. Not a smart idea.
1. Edwards-Helaire
Everyone likely expected Clyde Edwards-Helaire to land in the top spot on this list and deservedly so. The rookie running back hadn’t been as much of an explosive force from Weeks 2-5, but he returned to his Week 1 form for this game and put up career numbers in the process.
Edwards-Helaire finished with 26 carries for 161 yards with a long of 31 yards. He had a touchdown run wiped out by Nick Allegretti holding on the play (poor CEH has now had two touchdowns taken off the board thanks to penalties), but the 161 yards and continuing to wear out the Bills defense was the key in the Chiefs’ 26-17 victory.
We were waiting to see “Clyde the Glyde” return and while it took some time between Week 1 and now, he showed up and crushed the Bills’ hopes and dreams.
