Kansas City Chiefs: Three things we learned in Week 6 win vs Bills
By Tom Rodgers
Kelce is allowed to make mistakes, especially when he scores two touchdowns
Travis Kelce has been important for the Chiefs for years but he really showed his importance when the Chiefs visited the Bills. The big tight end is Mahomes’ go-to man when in need and he came up clutch in the first half, coming away with two touchdowns. The second touchdown he had to get his feet down well to stay inbounds and it was quite the impressive effort by the Chiefs tight end.
Away from his touchdowns on the night, Kelce was found when it mattered on 3rd down, hauling in a pass from Mahomes in the fourth quarter with the Chiefs back right up into their own half. That catch was HUGE and while he did have a fumble at the end of the first half that the Bills recovered, Buffalo missed the field goal attempt, so no harm done.
Kelce is arguably the best in the league at what he does with only George Kittle from the San Francisco 49ers challenging him for the spot but the No. 87 is the best around, especially when his quarterback is in trouble. He proved that yet again with his heroics in the receiving game.
We all know Kelce is dominant, but the biggest thing we learned about him this week is that he is going to make mistakes. The important thing here is that he more than made up for that mistake with the big catch in the second half.
