KC Chiefs: What we learned about the AFC West after Week 5
It was an interesting week in the division and things became a little tighter in the AFC West, especially in the first and second spots.
Week 5 didn’t go according to plan for the Kansas City Chiefs and it’s a bit worrisome that they haven’t played well against their two divisional opponents so far, even losing one of them. The Chiefs have dominated the AFC West in recent years, so losing one game to a divisional foe isn’t the end of the world, but Chiefs fans simply aren’t used to it.
None of these games really excited me to be honest. The Broncos/Patriots game that was supposed to be on tap, but got postponed was somewhat interesting, mainly because it would have had backup quarterbacks at the helm and that could have been fun for five minutes or so.
AFC WEST STANDINGS
- Kansas City Chiefs (4-1)
- Las Vegas Raiders (3-2)
- Denver Broncos (1-3)
- Los Angeles Chargers (1-4)
Week 6 Games
- Broncos at Patriots – Sunday (12:00 CST)
- Chiefs at Bills – Monday (4:00 CST)
There will only be two games played in the division this week and they’re both pretty big ones, especially that Chiefs/Bills one. That might be the bigger match-up, but the Denver game is still important because a win there gets them right back in the thick of things after such a rough start to the season.
