. Quarterback. Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen. 17. player. 16

Maybe this is just me, but before Josh Allen joined the Bills, they have mostly been considered as the definition of mediocrity. The team has been on the rise since they drafted Allen though and he has them at 4-0 through the first quarter of the 2020 season.

Allen has 1,326 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and one interception along with three rushing touchdowns so far in 2020. He’s the leader in passing yards amongst the three leading MVP candidates and that’s not something anyone expected coming into this season. Allen was looked at as someone who relied more on running with the ball than passing, but with the acquisition of Stefon Diggs came Allen’s improvement with passing.

Allen is definitely someone to keep an eye on for MVP because he’s the only one mentioned in this article, including Mahomes, who hasn’t won a Super Bowl or been a superstar. We saw Lamar Jackson win the title last year (and deservedly so) and the NFL likes to reward the young guys for having good seasons.

Allen still has to lead his Bills to a division title and tougher times are ahead, but for now, he’s solidified his MVP position. Can he keep it going?
