3. A Wildcat receiver has a great game to boost the offense

This year the Wildcats came in with some serious talent at receiver with Malik Knowles, Chabastin Taylor, and Youngblood, but so far the only receiver to have a good game is Taylor against Arkansas State.

The receivers desperately need a good game this Saturday, but they face a TCU defense that has only given up 223 passing yards per game this season. TCU has had great coverage in 2020, evidenced by their eight pass breakups combined between all their corners.

Although they have not allowed a lot of pass yards, they have given up their fair share of passing touchdowns with five through two games. This means that since they give up a lot on the ground, teams have not really needed to throw the ball a whole lot against TCU.

My guess on which receiver has a good game would be Knowles because he really needs a good game to spark his season and open up the offense. Hopefully it’s his time to shine when the Cats take on the Frogs.

4. This will be a close game due to both defenses either shutting the offenses down or giving up scores.

As stated earlier in the article, TCU’s defense has been good, but not great through their first two games and since they are facing a freshman quarterback who will have butterflies in his first career start, they will send a lot of pressure to hurry Howard up.

For K-State’s defense to keep this game close, they need to try to take away the quarterback runs that TCU will call. The last time K-State faced TCU, the Wildcats gave up 115 rushing yards to Max Duggan, who also had a touchdown in that game.

The players to watch on the defensive end for Kansas State are Elijah Sullivan, Justin Hughes, and Khalid Duke as they all have the speed and tackling ability to get to Duggan before he gets to his top speed. Also, expect the secondary to get into the run lanes and make plays on Duggan.

This game will be a close one for the Wildcats as TCU will look to bring a lot of energy after beating Texas last week.
