Other Starts and Sits of the Week

Start: David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears

Montgomery may not seem like an exciting option. Last week, however, with Nick Foles taking over as the starting quarterback and Tarik Cohen being out for the season, Montgomery had the most targets he had all year with six. That is double his next closest game. He has a receiving floor that will get you 10 points at worst in your flex and has potential to score a touchdown and push you over the top this week.

Sit: Rob Gronkowski, TE, Tampa Bay

I know the name is big. I know that Howard is out. I know Brady and Gronk have chemistry. Just stay away. Unless you are absolutely desperate for TE help, Gronk should be on your bench, or better yet, waivers. He has the potential to bust out an Indian summer game and go off, and at some point this season, he will. Trying to predict the three games Gronk is going to be fantasy relevant will be a headache, however, and you would do best by staying away.

Start: Ronald Jones, RB, Tampa Bay

Ronald Jones has been a sneaky good fantasy running back this year. With Leonard Fournette almost certainly out, and the rest of the Bucs receivers limping, Jones is in line for an uptick in targets, as well as goaline work if the Buccaneers move the football. Jones has averaged over 12 ppg this year with only one touchdown, so if he finds the endzone this week, expect him to go over the 20 point mark.

Sit: Nick Foles, QB, Chicago Bears

Foles is not fantasy relevant until proven otherwise. If you have him rostered, drop him. If you love narratives or are an Eagles fan maybe you hope the Brady-Foles magic blossoms once again and you get a shootout of epic proportions. What is more likely is both QB’s combine for around 500 total yards, 3 touchdowns, and 3 turnovers. Stay away from the quarterbacks in this one folks.
